for travel rewards I would suggest capital1 venture card with the gold version you get 1.25 miles per dollar spent. with the blue 2 miles per dollar and there's a 59 dollar annual fee, waived the first year. 0% foreign transaction fee, you get a concierge service, room upgrades and luggage protection.

if you don't mind paying large annual fees you can get a american express premium card. however except for the platinum card, the other cards have a 2.7% foreign transaction fee.

I have the gold capital1 card and I love it. as for American express I have the green, it's a nice card.

    Default Second card? When?

    Hello everyone,

hope you can help me on the following.

I recently raised my CC limit from $1,000 to $5,000. My bank made the offer and I accepted it. Now, in order to improve my score over time, should I apply for a second CC or stick to my current and try to increase the limit more?

I pay-off my balance every month in full and keep it below 30-35% of the limit. I'm two years in Canada.

    Thx in advance.

Please open your own thread in the future it is generally bad netiquette to hijack someone elses thread.

I would go ahead and get yourself a secondary card.
