Any risks in asking for a credit limit increase?

Postby BBBCredit » Thu May 22, 2014 12:18 pm

The credit analysts I spoke with at BoA for the Bank of America Cash Rewards card said that they do one HP and can make any CLI decisions off of that one HP for the next 30 days.

Is there any drawback to me calling the BoA analysts and asking for a ~1,000 increase over the next 30 days? I figure there's probably some horrible catch, like I'll ask for too much and then be returned to my original CL or something.

Thanks in advance.

There is no catch it's not a "gotcha" game. The worst that is likely to happen is you take a hard pull and are declined. If there are issues with your credit that the pull uncovers, they would have uncovered them anyway at some point by softing you.
