I've read a lot of people have disliked the treatment they get at Capital One, especially when it comes to upgrading subprime cards into prime cards. Are cardholders with Quicksilver or Venture cards generally disappointed with customer service? I would especially like to hear from anyone who has had both (CO prime and subprime) and can give a useful comparison.
I've also read the quality of service from Amex has been falling recently. Have I just found a few anecdotes or is there some consensus around this?
I'm fairly new to cards and haven't had a charge dispute/charge denial/fraud problem yet, so I don't have experience with complicated problems. I have found that when I had questions about my cards, Chase customer service was decent, and Discover was slightly better.
Very useful: SchwabPlat, CSP, IHG, Costco (was AA Plat), Freedom, SPG
Somewhat useful: Discover, ED (was EDP), BCE, Hyatt
Plan to PC: Prestige to DC
SD with activity alerts, might close: Arrival and Brooks Bros
Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech, BofA Travel PH
