Credit Score from AmEx

Postby Troublemaker » Tue Apr 29, 2014 9:40 pm

So AmEx sent me my credit score based on my application for SPG. It is in the 800s so wondering if it is a FICO score or does the CB that AmEx use have its own rating system.
DoubleCash '99:10k / Freedom '07:11k / CU '11:15k / Slate '14:13k / Premier '15:10k / InkPlus '15:5k

That'll be a FICO score, typically from Experian.

It should say FICO, and the CB used. It should also indicate the score range used.

I'm actually surprised that you got a score from AMEX, with a score over 800. Typically, they don't provide a score, unless you didn't get their best terms; with a score over 800 I can't imagine you're not getting their best terms, unless it's a denial?
Retired, and in the process of retiring cards!
EQ = 846 EX=828 TU = 836 as of 02/2016

My Mother recently applied for the BOA cash rewards card. She got a pending approval message so I had her call recon. Her credit line with another BOA card was too high to be given another line so they moved some of the line to approve the new app. Today I heard from her that her approval letter said she has a FICO of 844. So...I can't imagine she didn't get the best terms. Maybe some banks just give this info regardless of terms?
Citi Forward ($10.1K), AmEx Blue Cash Everyday ($30K), Chase Freedom ($12.4K), Discover it ($5.5K), Barclaycard Arrival ($12.5K), L.L. Bean Visa ($5K). FICO 806 (TU), 812 (EQ), 806 (EX).
