But, probably because of this, I do think that the metal credit cards are a kind of an holy grail in the credit world. Here in the UK, for example, the only CC made out of metal are the Centurion and the Palladium. No surprise then that this sets the standard.
And regarding the problem you seem to be having, the solution is pretty easy: get a credit card holder. There's thousands of them out there. That's what I did quite a long time ago and I never looked back.

Agreed. It's prestigious because it's scarce (relatively at least).

I carry my cards in a card holder and carry it in my front pocket. 2 reasons why: (1) carrying my wallet in my back pocket messes up the alignment of my back (especially when driving) and (2) pick pockets (which I seem to be a magnet for), it'll be harder for em to take my wallet.

Front pocket sounds like a good idea. While I don't have the issues of pick-pocketing it will match the bulge from my cell phone in the other front pocket :-)

I'm all in for the points, as well. However, the CSP causes another issue for me. I don't live in the world's best neighborhood. It's *fine*, but there are still some sketchy folks around. And guess who loudly comments whenever I hand my card over? Yeah, the cashier at the carry out or whatnot, where I'm most likely to be around people I don't want knowing anything about me except that I'm buying some beer or greasy Chinese. "Wow...what's this made of, it's so heavy?" Every time. Buying the "good beer" puts enough of a target on me.
CSP $19K
BOA $4K
UMP $11.5K
Target Visa $1.5K

I don't.

If you're not sure why then does it matter? "Prestige" means nothing to me. A card is just a tool no matter what the material. I earn my own respect (sometimes anyway). I don't get it from my cards.

I hand my CSP to the girl at the register
Girl looks at the card and then slides it
Girl then tells me "omg this card is different, I have never seen one like it"
I'm like "Yeah"
Girl tells me "how long have you had this card for?"
Me "some time now"
She looks at me all smiley and giggly
Then she tells me "it just feels different when i slide it not like the other ones"
I'm like "i bet it does" *troll*
She looks up at me thinks and laughs.."

Yet another reason why being 'different' is good.

Oddly enough, cards made of metal are actually advertised/marketed as something prestigious etc. Not sure why.

this remind anyone of that story of the princess and the pea? Like how can you feel one card out of all the others in your wallet and pinpoint that card as what makes it uncomfortable? You have an amazingly sensitive posterior my friend. You can marry the prince/princess whenever you feel like it ;)

Do you have that limited edition CSP that is an inch thick?

Such a card exists?

If so, how would you swipe it? I can't think of a card terminal that allows such thick card.
