Down in a hole....feeling so small

Postby MemberSince99 » Sun Apr 20, 2014 6:21 pm

Now that I've applied for and gotten so many cards, and Amex are just so easy to get I am sure some people's dog could get a Centurion with a friendly woof and a wave of the paw, I have to figure out what to do about the 95 annual fee that was just put on my new Amex. If I pay it using the minimum it might take me 4 or 5 months to do. And the whole Bear family is in just as deep of doo doo as I am. I'm thinking there just is no recourse here but BK, for every Bear in the family. (I can hardly "bear" the thought, even at a tortoise's pace).

Can I use my cards for a cash advance for an attorney retainer for my BK? And how soon can I load up on cards again? Given how incredibly easy Amex is, not long right?

Well, maybe declaring family BK will do?

I'm glad someone "got" it, you obviously saw the thread....

Do a buncha shopping card tricks... then buy a bunch of merchandise maxing out the cards at the stores you have the cards for (Victoria Secret, etc). Bring it back the next day and bully the cashier into giving you cash refunds instead of crediting the cards. Go to the doctor with some fake illness and use your Care Credit card (that you are AU on). Go back the next day and say he/she made you sicker and threaten them with a malpractice lawsuit(works best if you bring a friend along who has a nice business suit to pretend he is an attorney). They should give you refund (in cash hopefully!)

Use your money to hire a bankruptcy lawyer. Ask for the "Bears and Turtles" family plan and receive a 10% DISCOUNT!

Don't tell me B&T got an Amex? Wow, Amex has jumped the shark even quicker than I thought. Maybe they should rename the PRG the "First Premier Rewards Gold Card"!

Oh and the way he types "DS" referring to his sister is really creepy. Maybe he should change his user name to "BearsAndTurtlesAndIncestRtheBest"

edit: nevermind, i saw the post... lol- I think we all called that one months ago.

Important note to any underwriters reading this: if anyone has "bearssndturtles" as part of their e-mail address, the responsible thing to do is to do a "crap oneX50" (ie. hit them with 50 HP from each report.

I did think it was weird that only about a month ago he's on there bragging up all the approvals (most of them DD's) and then a month later, Rome is burning, the sky is falling, the world is ending (he sounds like the execs at my company they are continually howling these things) and it's all turned to crap, time to BK. I mean how is that even possible? I know you guys did call that, but I was still astounded how quickly it happened. There is one Bear family that really needs to stay away from credit cards until they can get a handle on their finances.

On the bright side, he'll get to start all over with the rebuilding process and contribute heavily to the gardening thread....

As soon as I read it I thought of you and how you called exactly what was going to happen a couple of months ago when he was applying for everything under the sun (and mostly getting declined at the time). Then he gets approved for cards, his dad gets approved, and a month later we hear how deep in debt they are and they can't pay the bills and are talking BK. I mean you can't make this stuff up.
