When I try to congratulate someone over there, I try to make sure that my message has something more than just spamming that one word everywhere on every single thread, and even try to have some helpful things here and there for the person, especially if it's a card I've had direct experience with.

I remember I got so sick of that guy when they merged the approvals and applications together, I made a "troll" post about it directed at them and 09L deleted it nearly immediately and sent me a warning about "useless" posts.

Well even coldnmn has made less generic posts than alvon123 so I wouldn't consider him as bad as him per se but I see what you mean.

There are some people on that site I've really come to like but then you still sometimes have to read through a lot of junk to find the content you need. Credit Boards I've found alright mainly for their database but I don't think either forum compares in terms of the quality of posts I've seen from people here, despite the fact that this place is less active than the two forums.

That made my day lol

I still kinda think FMC92 is a troll too or at least the one that was posting stupid crap here.

I also never knew what the abbreviations DW, DB, DS, or any of those meant until recently.

Same with YEMV (instead of YMMV.) I guess that's something new MF decided to make for themselves.

Two "Congrats! Thanks for sharing" generic messages in the first page of this thread alone by the same person. Over 15K posts.

It appears that the mods merged two threads together and both of the two threads have coldnmn's congrats reply...

btw is Overstock being popular recently? Have seen 6 approval threads about that on the first page. Looks like those guys are really obsessed with the shopping cart trick.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

I actually asked that question over there as to what the big deal behind this card was, especially compared to what I already have with my Amazon Store card and it seems like the hype is that you can get a relatively high initial CL on a SP if you get one of those preapproval popups, even if you're trying to rebuild your credit.

I really don't like how the financing requirement amounts are higher on that Overstock card so it wouldn't be worth it at all in my case. I think the other reason it's popular there is because some people tried to get the FNBO Overstock card and couldn't so that was their next best thing. Seems like Comenity also just started issuing those Overstock cards this year.

The only Comenity accounts that honestly interest me are the ones that don't report at all to credit bureaus and have those financing offers, which are all related to Bill Me Later/Paypal Credit. I have two of those myself which I found pretty useful for that purpose, especially with some purchases I recently made.

It seems the moderators actively defend the constant post crapping, and even encourage it.

I can now see why Member and Otter have such a beef with myFico now. That's a ton of BS I'm seeing and I'm pretty pissed off right now by a certain dominatrix.

Also I really think TonicWater and JonathanV are the same person trying to screw with everyone in that thread.
