BOA BankAmericard Privileges VS

Postby gotkwah » Thu Apr 17, 2014 5:46 pm

2 questions about this card:

1) thoughts on the rewards, etc? i currently have a BankAmericard Cash rewards card that i use mainly for gas when my Chase freedom doesnt give 5%. As far as i can tell the only diff with the privileges is the 50% reward bonus if redeemed into a BOA acct. (they are also offering me $200 bonus -which will become 300 with 50%-after spending $500 in first 90 days

2) they sent me a pre-screened offer in the mail. when i called the rep said it is not a hard hit b/c its a pre-screened offer. Any truth to that?

Never heard of the card itself, but that rep needs to lay off the crack pipe. If you apply it WILL be a hard hit. You can bet the mortgage on it.

Either they have no clue what the hell they are talking about or they are lying. Neither one is good.

1) There are two differences. The first is the Privileges card has an annual fee. The second is the 50% bonus when CB is redeemed into qualifying bank accounts.

2) The pre-screened offer is not a hard pull but if you decide to apply for the card, it will show up as an inquiry.
Citi Forward ($10.1K), AmEx Blue Cash Everyday ($30K), Chase Freedom ($12.4K), Discover it ($5.5K), Barclaycard Arrival ($12.5K), L.L. Bean Visa ($5K). FICO 806 (TU), 812 (EQ), 806 (EX).
