Frontier Airlines MC, make sure you do some research

Frontier claims on their website how much various point redemption costs (in points). The 'standard award' redemption detailed on their site puts the 40,000 points you earn from becoming a card member in a positive light.

The problem is when you go to search for flights. I used every example flight from my home city to the various non-US locations that they fly (Jamaica, D.R., Mexico) and every flight for 6 months there were no 'standard award' redemption options available. The only options where 'choice award' which cost 2 times the points (50K points round trip).

This isn't exactly shocking. International flights are almost always going to cost more points than domestic flights.
