I'm itching to app, but...

Postby TheLethargicAge » Tue Apr 08, 2014 1:03 pm

...there aren't any cards I like out right now. I mean, my main focus is cash back, but the options are either not available to me (Huntington Voice) or downright undesirable (Citi Dividend). I thought about focusing on getting better terms (lower APR) on my cards, but in most cases that seems almost impossible (Chase, Capital One).

Am I missing any cash back cards worth applying for?

Note to takeshi: by "worth" I mean, either a base earning rate over 1% OR bonus categories that earn over 2%+ in "entertainment" categories (i.e., dining, movies, etc). A low redemption threshold would be nice too, but not essential.
Blue Cash Preferred ($24K), Costco TrueEarnings ($8K), Better Balance Rewards ($6K), CashForward ($15K), Sallie Mae Rewards ($10K), Quicksilver ($17K), AARP Rewards ($15K), Freedom ($15K), Double Cash ($16.5K), It ($28.5K), Fidelity Investment Rewards ($18K), Cash+ ($11K)

I told her to stop engaging a troll the other day. She was pissed.

You made me laugh! Why are they such control freaks, I mean life is a lot easier if you can just laugh sometimes.

Sometimes both there and here I wonder if certain posts are troll posts. If they are funny it's not so bad really.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Ahhhhhh.....Hahahahahaha..... Seriously though, everytime...

Anyways, it looks like you already have all the best ones out there. There really hasn't been that many new products... You could get BofA Better Balance to get $25 every quarter. It is fairly easy to get and not hard to earn the rewards. I know you want $back, but you can get Citi Thank You Preferred for the 2pts on dining and entertainment. 3pts on dining and entertainment with Thank You Premier if you wanna shell out $125/yr. Amex Fidelity gets you 2% $back, but to an investment acct.

Doesn't seem like a whole lot out there that fit. You already have at least a couple that come to mind.

Cap One Quicksilver card 1.5% cash back? Or PNC Cashbuilder 1.25%-1.75% depending on what checking account you have with them.
