I need help!!

Postby zuniga187 » Sat Mar 29, 2014 2:47 am

I just recently began to work full time, but before I used to just go to school. I would really like to build some credit. I don't know how to start, but my idea was to apply for credit cards and use them only when I know I can pay in full. So far, I have been denied credit cards at Chase and Wells Fargo due to insufficient credit history. Is there any better way to build my credit? Or any other cards I can use?

Do you have a bank account? if so go with them and get a secure credit card. I think they will start you off with the low hundredths (4-500 maybe)- some places may require you to have a deposit just in case you don't pay up. I wasn't required one so who knows about your bank.

From there its only time and waiting(something).. and after a few months you will have better card...

A credit union may give you a card if you are a member. Otherwise I would suggest the BofA 99 deposit/500 limit secured card as it will grow with responsible use into a regular card. If you can't do that, then try Cap One. That's three painful pulls for one toy limit card that will never ever grow so that's kind of the last resort but it still beats Credit One or First Premiere.
