If you don't travel it really isn't worth it. I had it once before and got rid of it because, like you said, the fee was just too high to justify. Now that my girlfriend and I have the time and money to be able to travel a lot I can recoup the yearly fee in a single hotel stay when you take in to account free nights, room upgrades, hotel food, drink and spa credits, etc.

Unlike the PRG card I see you have, the Platinum card has no bonus categories for extra points, it's just one point per dollar for everything so you would actually earn less points than you do now. Though I do get 5,000 bonus points every year since I spend over $20K a year on the card because I have the Ameriprise Platinum. Normal Platinum cards don't get that.

FHR is probably the best perk of platinum that I took advantage of. That and having purchase protection for really large purchases certainly helped :)

Totally agree. I could never stay in a hotel again without noon check in and 4pm check out. To me, it's almost worth the cost for that alone.

Last year in San Francisco the room we got upgraded to was $3K more for the week than the one we booked. The room was the size of an apartment.

My collection. Not sure I will keep the Mercedes Platinum next year after the loss of AA/US lounges (hence the new Citi Executive card).

I only have the 2 other Citi AA cards because they were opened years ago and Citi keeps waiving the annual fee - otherwise I would close them.

As for the 2 Amex Gold Business cards - they are for 2 different businesses.

American Express: MB Platinum Card, Business Platinum, Business Gold, SPG, Hilton Surpass
Chase: Ink Plus, Ink Bold, Sapphire Preferred, United Mileage Plus, Marriott Premier
Citi: Executive AA World Elite MasterCard, AA Visa Signature, AA Business MasterCard
Barclays: US Airways World Elite, Arrival Card

Well crap. I thought this was a current wallet contents sort of thread. If we're posting all of our active cards, I need to take a different photo. In the meantime, the EDC -
