I've been eyeing the new First Premier Rewards Gold Amex Card (the FPRG card... a new co-branded card from Amex and First Premier Bank). It combines the fee structure/rewards of both issuers... it has a $95 processing fee and a $6 monthly fee (like the FP cards) and a $175 annual fee (like the PRG). It's a revolver, but if you don't pay in full every month, there is a $100 fee. There is also no preset spending limit, but if you go over $300 there is a $100 fee- don't expect to go over $400... you will be declined.

On the plus side, the rewards are double those of the ordinary PRG, and for every $25 redemption, there is a $20 fee. Of course you get the Amex extended warranty and other benefits. For example, if you drop your $200 phone in the toilet, you get a free new phone (after paying the $400 processing fee).

It's rumored that if you pay enough in fees, you'll be invited to apply for the ultra exclusive FP centurion card, but that hasn't been confirmed.
In my Wallet:
  • Amex PRG NPSL[3-14, bd 91]
  • Sallie Mae MC $8000[1-14]
  • Chase Freedom $4700[1-14]
  • Discover It $2750[8-13]
  • BoA UCF Alumni Cash Rewards $5000 [3-15]
Sometimes in my Wallet:
  • GM BuyPower WEMC $5000[9-14]
  • Wells Fargo Propel 365 Amex $7000[4-14]
  • Barclaycard Arrival WEMC $7000[3-14]
  • BoA Better Balance $3000[2-15]
In my sockdrawer: Amex BCE $1000[10-13, bd 91], OCCU Duck $10000 [11-13], The Sportsman's Guide Visa $8000[8-14], Chase Slate $4000 [9-14]Delta Gold Amex $2000 [2-15 bd 91], Diners Club MC $20000 [10-14] Commerce Bank Visa $2000 [3-15] Citi Double Cash $1000 [3-15]
Total CL: $90450

AMEX No Fee HHonors - To get in with AMEX and get some HHonors points

Citi AAdvantage MC* - For the signup bonus + $95 annual fee waived first year. Will see what they plan to do with this card after the points merger.
Barclay US Airways MC* - For the signup bonus + supposedly to be PC'ed to AAdvantage MC sometime next year.
*Will reevaluate these around annual fee time next year.

One more card in my stable, but more of a replacement card. The Wells Fargo Platinum Visa went bye-bye and got the Wells Fargo Propel 365 card, which suited my purposes better.
Retired, and in the process of retiring cards!

Made some changes to my arsenal. Ended up getting the AmEx Platinum for the benefits and the Arrival+ for when I travel. I don't really want any cards and definitely won't for a while since I got my dream card, but when the Arrival+ is due for a fee I'll either have it waived or get the CSP. Also the Sallie Mae looks interesting for gas and groceries, but I might just get the Freedom to go with the CSP and rotating 5%. Not really sure, but I've got more than enough time to think about it.
FICO TU - 728 - 8/14
FICO EX - 716 - 7/14
FICO EQ - 740 - 7/14

Bank of America Cash Rewards - $2,400
Best Buy - $3,000
American Express Blue Cash Everyday - $8,000
American Express Everyday - $10,000
Discover It Chrome - $500 (AU on fiancée's card, helping her build credit)
American Express Platinum - NPSL
Barclaycard Arrival+ - $3,000
Capital One Yamacard - $11,000

Not really sure what I'd want next, especially after finding out that my Amex EveryDay card after the 15 month 0 APR intro period is over will have the lowest APR out of all the cards I've ever used (12.99% and that's lower than what I have with my Delta card), I'm suddenly feeling much less of a need to get more cards but I will keep the Sallie Mae Mastercard in mind depending on how things go in the long term and as an alternative in case I ever decide to try going for the Freedom card again. Most likely if any of this does happen, it will be next year. It would be a nice addition to being able to use Discover's rotating categories.

I think I finally know what cards I'd like to do a product change to when it comes to my Forward card coming this October. I'm leaning towards the Dividend card. I had thought about the Thank You Preferred card as well but I just don't like the rewards as much and think a cash back card from Citi would be a better option for me.

I really have been considering the Chase Southwest airlines card, however not sure if I want to take the plunge as I already have two chase cards... Freedom and Slate. Although I hope to combine them soon if possible.
