March 2014 Garden Club Meeting

Postby MemberSince99 » Sat Mar 01, 2014 9:13 am

Hello and welcome to the CCF March 2014 Garden Club. Here we can talk about how great it is to NOT apply for and get credit cards but instead to imagine how wonderful it would be if you had them. After all, it's so much better to imagine what holding an Amex Centurion would be like than to pull that Green card out of your wallet isn't it?

Having said that I embrace gardening in all of its wonderful forms. It beings me closer to Nirvana. This is a come to Jesus moment for me.

Now let's go have some alcohol and apply for some credit cards! Clothing optional....

What, no hors d'oeuvres and full bar? Hell, not even a bag of cheese puffs? What kind of cheap second-rate "garden" club meeting is this? Hehehe....

Let me get a six pack at 7-11 and then we'll play "Guess that Comenity Card".
Blue Cash Preferred ($24K), Costco TrueEarnings ($8K), Better Balance Rewards ($6K), CashForward ($15K), Sallie Mae Rewards ($10K), Quicksilver ($17K), AARP Rewards ($15K), Freedom ($15K), Double Cash ($16.5K), It ($28.5K), Fidelity Investment Rewards ($18K), Cash+ ($11K)

We should remind the Newbies that drapping requires a blood alcohol level of at least .15; sorry buzzed apping doesn't count as drapping. You must be hammered! Only then can you dispute the hard pull with the big three. (ie. "I was so sh_tfaced I thought I was just checking to see if I was prequalified. I didn't know the button said 'apply now' because it was spinning around the room so fast!")

I'm happy to say that I haven't applied for a new card since January of 2013!

That said, I did just blow two inquiries on CLIs. Both successes; an extra $3700 with Discover, and an extra $3500 on BoA.

And a $2500 total bump from Citi for free from the love button.

I also have to admit that I've been spamming the preapproval sites, and I'm pretty happy about what I'm seeing. Citi wants to get me in one of their premium cards very badly.

I don't need your stinkin inquiries, apparently Chase will throw money at me without even asking. Yeah, check out my sig down there, they just upped me on the UMP (which, yes, I am consolidating with the CSP within the next few months) by $4K on a whim. Take your spade and shove it. ;) ESPECIALLY if you aren't even offering snacks!
CSP $19K
BOA $4K
UMP $11.5K
Target Visa $1.5K
