Very much so a YMMV with them. I had two GMAC loans and they always treated me fairly, which was how I ended up with Ally. I do see how that incident would color your perception, though. Though I would note that *GMAC* got nothing better than, say BOA in the *financial* bail out, it was *GM* proper we invested in, and had we hung on for a hot second, we may have actually made some money off that. That's what the Swiss model we started to follow demanded, but we decided to half-ass it.
