FICO idiots just drive me nuts

Postby MemberSince99 » Tue Jan 28, 2014 12:49 pm

So this person there posts their stats and asks when should I get an Amex?

With Amex my personal answer is always "as soon as you can". Why? Simple - backdating. That's the one you want to get just as soon as possible.

So what do we get on FICO? Of course people questioning why do you need an Amex, get BofA Chase Citi etc and wait to get an Amex.

Um, hello morons with your heads stuck up your garden loving rear ends, but the sooner you get it the better. This person says they are 18 with only a couple of months history. My answer would be after you have 6 good months revolving history reporting, GO FOR IT, get that Amex at 18 then at 40 you could be looking at 22 years revolving history for each and every Amex card you have.

I mean it's damn near a crime people even ask those idiots anything they really have NO clue what the hell they are doing over there.

To anyone interested in Amex - get your first one ASAP. After that, you can pick up another anytime but the sooner you get it the longer your backdating.

What's worse, is that I'm starting to see their weirdness creep into other places. Creditboards, in particular, seems to be slowly becoming FICOed.
Ficos:
Ex- 705 AMEX pull (5/13), Tu: 753, Eq:685

Cards:
First Premier Pimpcard 0.7k (01/10), Capital Bank (secured) 1.0k (02/11), Amex Delta 2.0k (5/13), Chase Freedom 1.5k (5/13), Discover It 5.0k (5/13), Capital One Cash Rewards 2.5k (5/13), DCU Platinum Visa 7k (12/13), Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard 5.0k (01/14)

I've wondered if some of the posts here that look like troll posts are from the garden cultists too. Next thing you know they'll want to start a garden club and an ERT here.

When people give those who are new to credit bad advice, yes it bothers me as these people would probably do much better to ignore the idiots and just do what they want to do. And they are a bunch of wacko idiots. You can pick up some good nuggets over there, mostly from people's experiences they post, but as for advice, people would do better to consult a Magic 8 ball than listen to most of what they are told at that place.

He should be able to provide first hand knowledge of what each lender says in their decline letter.

"Dear BearsAndTurlesRTheBest,

We recently reviewed your application for the XYZ Titanium card and after careful consideration, we regret that we are unable to approve you at this time.

The reasons for our decisions are as follows in order of importance:
1. Inquiries your 85 recent inquiries places you in the top .0005% of credit abusers
2. You are a moron
3. We think you'd use our card to post a retainer for a good BK attorney

You have a right to your credit report as a result of this decision.

We appreciate your interest in the XYZ Titanium card and hope to serve you one day"
