Confession time

Postby MemberSince99 » Fri Jan 24, 2014 11:20 pm

I, MemberSince99, do hereby declare that I am "BearsAndTurtlesRTheBest" on the MyFICO forum.

I was also on the grassy knoll in '63, even though I was born in '65.

I also hereby declare I have a huge crush on 09Lexie. I can just imagine her, dressed as a dominatrix, whip in hand, ready to punish the bad boys like me who want to apply for a credit card.

And I'm also a Bigfoot and an alien. No not the kind who work in restaurants everywhere, I mean the kind with the big head and eyes.

It scares me too especially when I realize I no longer want to projectile vomit at someone mentioning the "garden".

Well you know what they say, mean people suck nice people, well, you know. Anyway good for you for doing that.

It's called "embracing the things you once despised" and it's happened to me a million times. Like once hating Guns N Roses and "heavy" rock but later discovering and falling in love with death metal. Or getting (and loving) a Discover card even though I used to find it completely unappealing and swore I'd never get one just a few days earlier.

Just accept it and eventually you'll even come to expect it.

Okay, I'm prowling because I can't sleep...please tell me the "death metal" you later discovered was "heavier" than GNR. Maybe that will let me sleep knowing the world is not totally topsy-turvy.

Off the top of my head, search for "Torn into Enthrallment" by Suffocation on YouTube or mrtzcmp3.net

I could never get past the low pitch growls that much to enjoy death metal all that much... I do appreciate the musicianship, though. Most death metal musicians are top notch. I can listen to Opeth's instrumental stuff all day.

That's funny. I was talking with a woman once who told me she took her son and his friend to a concert. Then she dropped the name of the band - Goatwh0re. I'm like say what? And she says yes it's Goatwh0re. With a name like that I had to check them out. And you know the best part is most of the words you can't understand, but what I could make out was things like "obliterate the screams of the weak" and "who needs a god when you've satan".

Sorry for the 0 in the word it was bleep'd out.

The growls are there to weed out the posers! J/k! Seriously, the growls are the only vocal style that fits the music. Opeth's first 3 albums were great, although not really death metal.
