And in the category of meaningless changes....

Postby MemberSince99 » Tue Jan 14, 2014 2:23 pm

CK sent me an email how it has been so long since I checked my score with them I should check it because it most likely changed. (Yeah but what would it really matter even if it did?)

So to humor them I logged in and my score went from 728 to 737. Notice it's still 62 points below what Barclays says is my FICO.

So what caused that increase? 4 inquiries fell off, all from 2 years ago the newest being from Jan 6, 2012. (These would have had no effect on my FICO). And the only other change was the Amex BSP being reported as closed.

So I suspect the only thing affecting the score was the inquiries which fell off, which as mentioned have no bearing on a FICO after a year.

That's my story of meaningless for the day. And that's pretty much why I don't bother checking it much anymore. With CreditSecure from Amex, I don't really need CK anyway.

And in other meaningless trivia, as it's been a month since my last app, I'm getting my seedling replaced with a bronze spade! Woo-hoo!
