Should I try to CLI my 2-month-old Barclaycard?

Kinda smaller than I expected given the amounts you're running through the card, but better than nothing! Congrats! Where are you trying to get the limit on this card to be comfortable in your monthly spending?

Amex SPG 5K
Barclaycard Arrival Plus WEMC 5K
Chase Sapphire Preferred 23.5K

I was hoping for $15K, but this will probably be sufficient to use autopay most months.

My experience with Barclay card CLIs has been every six months like clockwork. They've always been at least $1000, and sometimes more. My highest increase was $2,800. Due another in June. I think this card will eventually be my first five figure limit.

I'd wait 6 months on any card unless they auto me beforehand.

I'm mid 20s and have about 10 credit cards with limits ranging from 5K to 37K. My reported income is 190K. Having recently been fed up with Chase Sapphire Preferred account issues, I canceled that card in November 2014.

I applied for Barclaycard Arrival+ World Elite MasterCard in December and was approved for 12.5K, while I was hoping for 25K at least. I immediately inquired about an increase, stating I was looking to replace my 25K CSP card but was told I would need a hard pull even though they had just pulled my report. I waited two weeks and began using the card. I already triggered a security review twice, which is probably a sign of annoying things to come since I intend to travel a lot this year… but anyway, I finally decided to request a CLI.

I submitted the online form requesting an additional 12500 with income 190K. I got a message that I would receive a response in 48 hours. Within an hour, I got an e-mail that my request was approved. Now I'm wondering if I should have asked for more… as I've never received an auto CLI beyond 25K. We will see…

I'm at that point in the year when I apply for CLI on all my cards. I wish I'd seen your post first. Chase and Barclay are the two outliers in how they handle CLI. Chase doesn't allow for online requests. Barclay does a HP and makes you wait for an answer. Hopefully I'll get a good news email in the morning. I requested an increase from $12.5K to $22.5K with a reported income of $41K.
Citi Forward ($10.1K), AmEx Blue Cash Everyday ($30K), Chase Freedom ($12.4K), Discover it ($5.5K), Barclaycard Arrival ($12.5K), L.L. Bean Visa ($5K). FICO 806 (TU), 812 (EQ), 806 (EX).

Just something I wanted to say.

There are sometimes chances where Barclays can increase your limit early via a SP. They did it with me for $500 after I called in and inquired about whether they could reduce my APR. They didn't have any offers and then I asked if I could get a CLI and that's what they had on file for me. I've only had the card since September, so approaching 5 months now. I used their 24/7 recon line too which they actually do have.
Macy's TLs (21k), Lowes (17k), CSP (10k), Sam's Club (10k), Nordstrom (5k), AARP (4.2k), Freedom (3k), Discover (1.5k), Quicksilver (2k), BoA (3k), Barclaycard Arrival (2.5k), Amazon Store (6k), Paypal (4.9k), Sam's Club MC (3.6k), Walmart MC (1.2k)
