I have a Lowe's Visa Credit Card. It has a low balance so I went online to my banking website and did a balance transfer on December 18, 2013. The balance transfer showed as pending on my bank credit card so I though all was well.
Then I log in to my Lowes account and find a late fee charge, this was December 28, 2013. I made a $60 dollar payment to cover the late fee, the payment was due December 28.
Yesterday , I logged into my bank credit card account and found that the balance of my Lowe's Card had been transferred and that I had been charged a balance transfer fee.
I then logged into my Lowes account and there was no change in the balance. I called Lowe's Credit Services and the customer service person told me that I had not made a payment and that I could NOT transfer my Lowe's balance to my bank credit card. I told Victoria that "Yes I can. I already did so." She became very snippy and told me that I did not know what I was talking about.
After 2 more calls and getting nowhere, I let it go for the day. I called back today and another snippy woman told me that I had not transferred the balance . I gave her the reference number. She told me I was a dumbass.
I logged in to my account after work to find that Lowe's has charged me ANOTHER interest charge, the second this month, one on the 5th and one today the 7th.
My dh called our bank for about the third time about this issue and they checked it out. Lowe's has their money.
what legal action can be taken against Lowe's Credit Crad services for deliberately failing to post payment received and charging me more than one finace charge just 2 days apart for the same $350 balance?
