Recon?? How??

Postby Wasn't That Smart » Tue Nov 26, 2013 8:44 pm

I'm fairly new here and have seen lots of posts saying if you don't get approved to recon. What is this? What should one say when you do this?

My wife recently applied for a credit card and got the 7-10 notice so I'm gonna tell her to try it.

Recon = reconsideration. It's the phone call (or fax or letter) in which you ask the issuer to reconsider a denial. That generally means you have to get denied first.

Maybe start here.

I like to call the recon number 24 hrs after I apply because I'm impatient :)

If you search for "recon back door numbers", they're all pretty much listed there. Make your case and answer any questions they have about income, address, etc. Good Luck!
