Approved for a credit card without a hard credit inquiry?

Postby waffled » Wed Sep 11, 2013 12:17 am

I'm really surprised, I did not expect to get approved for CSP so easily, instantly, and without a hard inquiry... considering my credit is only at 740, and I'm only 23 (they do ask).

I do have a freedom card though that has always been paid in time or in advance, I think that helps.

I don't know, but the approval was instant and it's been a few days, checked my updated creditkarma and it says nothing about an inquiry.

It will take CreditKarma more than a few days to show the inquiry. Probably need 1-2 weeks.

Also, credit karma only pulls transunion. Chase might have pulled Experian or Equifax.

lol @ thinking you got away without a hard pull because of Credit Karma.

Chase enjoys pulling Experian and on occasion Equifax.

Try using a 3-puller and tell me you didn't get the hard pull.

I've seen posts on other sites like this and wonder if it's the same thing about just checking one bureau for the inquiry.
