I happened to lurk on FICO the other day in a hotel's business room and saw BearsNTurtles parents both went on major app sprees. Looks like the whole family is going to be filing bankruptcy together... There's probably a family rate that bankruptcy attorneys have that the B&T family can take advantage of!
In my Wallet:

He actually got approved for a Wells Fargo Visa on his own. I bet the underwriter that approved it got fired.

Hehe, good one. That whole family has this creepy incestuous vibe to it. I wonder if the father is the guy from the banjo scene on "Deliverance".

Now with Wells Fargo and AMEX getting together do you think I will be able to product change my current VISA to an AMEX after they start making cards public in mid-2014?

If so, with the revamped rewards and switching to AMEX which I love, will it be beneficial to start using this card again in mid 2014?

Here's an article from a couple of days ago, announcing this joint venture...

http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/2013/08/07/american-express-wells-fargo-credit-card/2626925/

Anecdotally, I've read that the "pilot" roll out was going to be by invitation only, prior to the release to the masses. Based on what the article says, about rollout beginning in late 2013, there could be some cards out there "by invitation only" and it's just not generally known yet, since the recipients are likely not denizens of credit card forums!
Retired, and in the process of retiring cards!

It is conceivable they could even be the resurrection of the 16th century Sawney Bean incestuous cannibal family which terrorized Scotland .

Hahaha!

Alexander "Sawney" Bean was the semi-mythical head of a 48-member clan in 15th- or 16th-century Scotland, reportedly executed for the mass murder and cannibalisation of over 1,000 people. Whenever they left a victims entrails and other remains, they left the cryptic message, "Bears and Turtles are the best" written in blood.

But the question remains, did they drapp together?

Wonder when Wells Fargo will offer a non-annual fee version. This card "tickles my fancy" since I have PMA status.

Honestly, I don't know what all the fuss is about Wells' PMA status... If it's important to you because it makes you feel like you've "arrived" financially, then I don't really have an argument about that. If it's important to you because of the "benefits" you think it offers, well I get much better benefits banking elsewhere with no minimum balance requirement. Example: WF will reimburse you for up to two non-Wells ATM transactions per month. I get ALL my ATM fees reimbursed with no limits. Sorry, the benefits of the Wells Fargo PMA status aren't worth letting $25,000 sit idle in the bank.

Luckily my PMA is linked to a Well Fargo Advisors brokerage account. There is no $25,000 sitting idle. ATM fees are a non issue for me since I never use an ATM nor do I even keep a debit card in my wallet.

Many online banks and credit unions reimburse the ATM fees. I just prefer the convenience of a brick & mortar establishment. Why don't I just bank with a credit union? There are three Wells Fargo branches within five miles of my residence. The closest credit union is the next town over.
