Penfed charging for paper statements now

Postby gmc » Sat Aug 31, 2013 5:20 pm

I was paying bills and noticed a $1.00 fee on my Penfed gas card statement; I called them and found out they are now charging a fee every month to send you a paper statement for credit card.

I always thought there was some rule or law that companies are required to send you a statement unless you willingly opt out. I didn't think they could charge you a fee for remaining with paper statements.

Penfed is continuing to drop lower and lower for me. I may just move on from this card altogether. :beat: :shoot:

Their card sucks now except their cash rewards card. Who knows how long that'll last

Sorry to disagree, but I don't think a $1 fee is unreasonable for a printed copy of your statement. Why not just get it on line and print it out if you must have a printed copy? Costs you nothing that way.

Postage alone costs 50 cents so I don't think a dollar for paper statements is unreasonable
