What is a good card for an 18 year old to get to start their credit? is Blue Cash Everyday by American Express a good one?

I think what you need to be asking is not if it's a good card which it is, but if you can get it to start.

And I can tell you if that's your first card you are going for and you have no credit which should be the case given you are 18, you won't get it. You need at LEAST 6 months history before Amex will touch you, unless you have millions stashed in a fund somewhere you can document to Amex (and if you did, I doubt you'd be going for the BCE).

Yes it's a good card, but they aren't going to give it to you with 0 history. You'll need to start someplace else. Handle that credit wisely and I'm sure you will have the BCE in due time.
