You know the one I mean, the one with those spades they live to aquire in their signature.

A "Community Leader" there posted:
We the Admins, mods and CLs at myFICO would like to take this time to advise you to app. responsibly. When applying for credit or making financial decisions you should do so without any "internal or external" distractions or limiters. All financial decisions should be made in a reasonable and proper manner. Remember, friends don't let friends drap!!!!!!

Thank you,

Dude, it's a piece of plastic. It's one inquiry (hopefully) one tradeline, you are not obligated to go into debt for the rest of your life it's not an installment loan. It's just a credit card. God forbid you should apply for one or worse, get one and use it, that's a worse crime against all humanity than the holocaust to those fruity garden lovers over there.

I think I need to stop reading their drivel and do something meaningful.

LOL. Thant's hilarious but true. I take my finances serious but at the end of the day it is nothing but plastic and you have to let people what they want to do. You will not be affected by it.

If you really think about it, which is probably bad, but if you really think about it, it's very ironic that this is the site selling you their credit scores telling you how evil it is to apply for credit cards. I know, it's not the owners of the site, but their mods and "community leaders" are their voice.

For the life of me, I do not understand the whole mindset that a single freaking application is going to utterly destroy your credit and your entire life. I've had PLENTY I mean a hell of a lot of them over the last 2 years and I have yet to destroy either. I pick my spots now, as opposed to sprees, but they are just way over the top on the whole gardening thing.

I will admit, sometimes I can see it - one guy has scores in the range of 650 to 670 wanting help to plan his app spree, with scores like that you are truly not in a position to app spree. Go for Discover, that's the prime card you have the best shot with at that range (they'd probably give him 10k to start) and maybe a GE backed card, and call it a day, don't do 10 futile applications on the same day to get declined for all of them and drop your score further. Then I can see it. But otherwise, what the hell.

Yeah I go on myFICO to read some of the information but that site isn't really worth joining to me. I really don't need the information since I got everything I need from here. They are backdating up to 1900 pages of the same information that people don't want to go back and look for or it's the same "I have this score and can I afford this card or this card or this card?" and not to mention "I just putting up a post so I can tell you I got a card and you notice me and tell me congratulations."

Though certain thing you've done I don't agree with, one it's not my credit profile and two you are human like everyone else so you are going to make mistakes in your life. Hell you have a decent enough score to mess around for a little while. I'm content with my situation and with what I got. Trying to get into traveling so a cashback card isn't going to cut it for me right now.

Hey I watch people do things like that all the time. I was lucky enough to get where I'm at card wise because of not only my first credit card disaster but also the fact that I only carried my WF for a month till I was able to move on the truly "prime" cards.
