How do you pay your credit card bills?

Postby swipe_masta » Tue Jun 25, 2013 5:49 pm

Pay at the credit cards' website with the "Pay Now" button

Pay using billpay via your bank acct

Pay the old fashion way with check, envelope, and stamp

Other (please elaborate)

I pay with my bank's billpay cause it is convenient and easy and all the bills and info is on one page.

For the vast majoirty of my cards I pay with the "Pay now" button, and on Cash Rewards card I pay it with Billpay via bank account. Just easier for me to do it that way.

I pay all my bills via my Bank's bill pay..... I like the fact everything is done instantly on both end.... No Writing Checks, No Keeping a Check Register, No Stamps, No Waiting for Checks to Clear, Payments (by law) must post to the creditors account on the date received (none of that holding payments for 5-10 days crap) because Bill Payments that are paid electronically via your bank goes via ACH transfer to the creditor....It's illegal for any business to hold ACH transfers.

At their website. On my IPhone as well for a couple of them. I tend to pay first thing in the morning when the balance hits the cards. Amex tends to only update around 10 AM CST each morning though lately they've been changing things and not much has updated recently. So I use the IPhone to send them payment.

I feel so old fashion but I always send checks in the mail. Yes it costs extra money but seriously it still amazes that I can send a letter for less than a dollar. Anyway the main reason I do this is because I usually pay from multiple accounts. For my main go to card (AMEX gold) I use it for business and personal purchases all the time, so the funds come from my personal and business bank accounts. Sometimes I use my other cards for the same purposes so therefore I send checks. It just seems easier for me to write two checks and drop it at the post office, which I go to everyday anyway.

I always use their website. But I might try out Bill Pay for my AmEx cards next time.

Those of you with a car note do you use Bill Pay, Check, or ATM card? My lender is the dealership so they only take check, debt card, or linked check/sav account. It would be nice to use a CC for the rewards.

I just switched all my payments to my checking account bill pay. Before I used all kinds of methods and was having a hard time keeping track of when $$ would be pulled from my account. There are still a few deductions that come directly out of my checking like IRA, car payment, insurance but for the most part it's all scheduled in bill pay.

I use their website (well, the iPhone app). Except FIA card services (BoH Hi Airlines), I use my bank's bill pay because I've been having issues with FIA's website to pay them.
In my wallet:
AmEx PRG/ BoH Hawaiian Airlines WEMC / Chase Freedom /

In my sock drawer:
AmEx HHonors & BCE
