I'm sorry about your dalmation. Hopefully he/she isn't going blind.

Care credit is a GE credit card that works for health care costs. I have never had this specific GE product, but I haven't read anything bad about it.

My brother has that card and is good if you plan on carrying a balance because they give 0% deferred interest for a set period of time.

Hope everything works out with your Dalmatian.

Not sure how old s/he is but you may want to look into pet insurance. I've had it on my Jack Russell since she was a puppy. We've only used it a few times but it saved us hundreds each time. The cost has gone up over the years but it really gives great peace of mind.

There are many out there but I use VIP.
American Express (2005): Green & Blue Cash Everyday
Chase: Freedom & UA Club USAA: Signature Visa & American Express
Discover it Bank of Hawaii Hawaiian Airlines WEMC Synchrony Sam's MC
Navy FCU Platinum Visa Citi Double Cash & AT&T Access MC

It's a credit card for healthcare related expenses. It's a good program, but BE CAREFUL! This card gives you interest free financing if you make regular payments AND you pay off the entire procedure within a set amount of time (6 to 18 months, I believe).

If you miss a payment (even by a day) or if you don't pay it off within the specified time period, GE will send a mob with pitchforks and torches to collect your first born child. They'll slap on huge late fees and the interest charges will start rolling in like an avalanche. They are not understanding and not forgiving. My boyfriend had this card. He missed a payment. The charges can get out of control, real quick.

I'm sorry to hear your doggy. IMHO, you're better off applying for a rewards card with a 0% interest offer. You can charge the procedure, get the same interest free benefit that Care Credit gives, and collect any rewards the card has to offer. If you're willing to take a hard pull for Care Credit for 0% financing, you might as well go for the rewards card.

Honestly, I was just looking for some insight into what the card offered. I googled it and even their own website seemed to lack info... If all it does it offer deferred interest, then it's really not worth it. I thought it gave some sort of discount on vet bills or something.
