How often do you guys check your FICO scores?

For just about anything you want to get off your chest about credit cards.

How often do you guys check your FICO scores?

Postby MemberSince99 » Tue Jun 11, 2013 7:46 am

I haven't done it in going on 6 months now, because I really didn't care what it was. I have lender pulls for a couple, no idea what TU is but it's probably within a couple of points of EQ (it always is).

I'm just waiting for the Amex cards to report later this month then I will pull my FICOs and see where I am. Everything else is reporting.

This is the longest I've gone without bothering with it in a few years now.

Only after I apply for cards, I check what the CC companies send me.

Main Card: Amex Platinum
For gas: Penfed Platinum Cash Rewards
For travel & dining: Chase Sapphire Preferred

Every 3-6 months, I don't really want to know how much more score drops because of a new account and inquiry, cause I know it'll be back up in a few months again. But yeah, like agp, I check what they send me if it comes in my letter (I didn't get a score for my PRG or when I got my Forward card, but they told me over the phone what it was.)
Bank Of America: BankAmeriCard Cash Rewards-4.2k
Citi: Forward-4.5k American Airlines Advantage Platinum Select World Elite MasterCard 9/6/15-4K
Discover: More-7k
Amex BCE.2k- Amex SPG-5k
Chase: Freedom-5kSouthwest Rapid Rewards Plus- 3.6k
Capital one: Venture one-10,000, Visa Signature.

Whenever it changes. I have ScoreWatch from Equifax, so I always know my EQ Fico.

FICO - rarely. FAKO - as often as Credit Karma and Credit Sesame update. I'll check scores more often when applying for cards.
