Postby tanyasf » Sat Jun 01, 2013 6:22 pm

Not plan applying any of them ,just curious which CU like ask for Pay stubs and tax return ? in my knowledge,Penfed will ask but not always ,and there only 1 hp for CC and become a member. DCU will HP twice for membership and CC,they like to ask pay stubs in most of case ,It's that true ?Free to correct me

I feel like DCU is more likely to ask, since it's a smaller CU than Penfed. Penfed asked me when I applied, so I faxed them my pays tub from a year before when I applied and they didn't mind.

Main Card: Amex Platinum
For gas: Penfed Platinum Cash Rewards
For travel & dining: Chase Sapphire Preferred

Penfed asked for paystubs to verify income when I applied. Easy to do...no tax return required.

Chase Sapphire Preferred ($7.5K)

Penfed only asked for stubs when I applied for an auto loan. Neither CU asked for stubs when I opened an account.

PenFed never asked me for stubs when I joined or opened a credit card with them. They typically do one hard pull for membership and use the same pull for the next 60 days if you apply for anything else.

DCU hard pulled me twice, once for membership and once for the Visa card I applied with them shortly after joining. They did ask for pay stubs-- faxed and no problems. It was worth it just for the free FICO every month.

I live in New Jersey, both CUs pulled Equifax. They also have both had really great customer service in my own experience.
