Account Review Credit Check

Postby Gamma » Sun May 26, 2013 7:49 am

Yesterday I checked my credit report and noticed Citi did a soft pull on me last month for reason AR (account review) They seem to keep a check on me only once a year and I always assumed lenders like to frequently keep a constant check on their customers. Same story with Chase and Discover. Chase last soft pull on me was june 2012 and Discover was March 2012. Do any of you have your creditors do frequent credit checks on you? Also, I've had BoA for almost 2 years now and they haven't done any account reviews on me since I opened an account with them.

BofA did one on me on May 16 I saw they softed as an AR pull.

Amex does a lot of SPs at least on me. Even when I don't have one of their cards.

The others, very infrequently. Elan who issues the Associated cards only does it about once a year that I've noticed, roughly. Chase is too new for me to have any idea about yet but I'm sure they will keep an eye open.

BofA has been a great bank for me personally, and I have a Visa Platinum with them. However, dealing with their credit department was one of the worst application experiences I've had in a while. I was given flat out wrong information by a CSR that caused quite a mess that took a lot of time to clean up.

YMMV with BofA... who knows what's going on with them when it comes to CCs and TLs.
My Cards:
Capital One Platinum MasterCard ($500)
Capital One Platinum Visa ($2k)
BofA Visa ($4k)
Citi ThankYou Preferred ($6.5k)
Chase United MileagePlus Club ($8k)
Discover IT ($8k)
