Applying for two Chase cards almost at once?

Postby oztsvi » Sun May 26, 2013 1:27 am

Got approved 3 weeks ago for a Freedom with a 3k limit.

Thinking about applying for Chase Sapphire Preferred, what do you say?

thanks Oz

Chase system will automatically reject application due to recent approval. You can call reconsideration line when system gives auto response.

Just a word of advice - as has been stated before, the CSP is a signature card with a minimum 5k limit on it. Chase likes to see you have other cards with 5k limits before giving you one typically. Obviously this isn't set in stone, but having cards with 5k or higher limits will certainly help.

They also like to see a year or two of revolving history before approving the CSP.

To maximize your chances you should be in this position.
