Lol. This thread turned out to be very comical! I just want to say that I have learned a TON about credit from this forum and myfico. I wasn't completely ignorant but I was pretty clueless. I can earn money from credit card usage if I have the right cards??? Utilization factors into my score? I can ask a CA to remove an unpaid account via PFD & there's a chance they won't laugh at my request, actually say yes AND be pleasant to deal with? Get the *bleep* outta here!!

Although I pulled my CR every year, I'd never checked my score until last year. It's due to these forums that I've gotten my scores to where they are now. Reading this valuable info, I've really educated myself and now I share it with my son who is in college & managing his credit very well due to my credit "sermons". Lol.

I take all of the advice w/a grain of salt so to speak, because I've discerned that each experience is unique and although it may be similar to mine, my outcome may be different. It's just nice to know the possibilities. I'm not in the garden but I'm "gardening" because I have some things to handle before I go on my app spree!
FICO Scores:
EQ 704
TU 789
EX 781 (via Amex on 6/11/13)

If you are looking for people to talk with, by saying things like this, you are going to push them away from you, not get a conversation started, except one that becomes like this. Is that really what you want?

I'll be the first to admit I can be passionate about defending my points, but I'm not going to insult people. They may have very good reasons for feeling as they do.

Better to be nice dealing with others if you want to find friends and people to talk with. On this forum for the most part we respect each other's views and each other even if we disagree.

And chan35, good for you! I knew nothing about any of these things a few years ago either. I thought I was forever stuck with 500 dollar Cap One cards that will never grow with (now they are 3000 dollar cards with the Discover logo on them and American CS but otherwise the same thing....) I had actually given up on credit cards because of that and only used a debit card. Very risky as thieves could drain my bank account then I have to fight my bank to get the money back. Also I had noticed my score never went up - despite having a long and perfect history of installment payments, it just plateau'd at a certain level and that was it. Still a very good level, but I wanted more, and besides installment loans eventually get paid off then your score drops.

Used unwisely, credit cards are a REALLY bad thing. Used wisely, they are great. Too many people haven't yet learned the difference, but hopefully by reading they won't have to learn the hard way as that's a tough way to learn.

HELP! ALL ACCTS. CLOSED BY GECRB!!! - Page 2 - myFICO® Forums

Page 2 and 3 basically tells us what kind of person tanyasf is. She got banned from credit boards and MyFico and now has come here. She basically goes around forums looking to pick a fight so I would simply ignore her.
