Digital Federal Credit Union offering free FICO scores

Postby nvtech » Tue Apr 30, 2013 12:15 pm

Guys..

Are you aware of any free FICO scoring services from any of the banks or credit unions by having a relationship.

I know one through DCU (Digital Credit Union) ..By having a checking account they provide a FICO Equifax scores.

Any other known products like that?

Interesting. I had never heard of this.

Of all the banks and credit unions I have a relationship with, only Amex provides you a free credit report with Experian, annually.

I know USAA provides a discounted service. And I know you can get those FAKO's from credit sesame or credit karma. But as far as I know, there's no other way around getting it straight from myfico.com.
AMEX: PRG Gold, Business Simply Cash, Business Costco, BCE.
Chase: United MileagePlus Club, Sapphire Preferred, Amazon Rewards
Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard
HSBC Cash or Fly World Mastercard
USAA World Mastercard, USAA Platinum Mastercard
Wells Fargo Business Platinum
USC Credit Union Mastercard

I am actually looking something for free..but with a banking relationship or membership with someone...

So far I figured out 2 of this.

FICO Equifax - by DCU http://www.dcu.org/electronic_services/FICO.html
( Possible with a Checking account relationship)

FICO Transunion - by Walmart Discover card http://www.walmart.com/cp/Credit-Cards/632402
( I would never apply for a credit card with Walmart to get this benefit)

If you know anything else..please point out..

If you live in Pennsylvania and are eligible to join, PSECU (Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union) offers a free Experian Fico for members.

I get both FICOs free, Equifax and TransUnion, through the methods nvtech mentioned. People can scoff at me and my Walmart Discover all they want, but when I have my free monthly FICO and they have to pay or apply for credit to get theirs, I laugh all the way to the bank. Prestige is all perceived, and I'm not too proud to carry a Walmart card if it benefits me so greatly.

Experian is a much rarer bird when it comes to free monthly FICOs. They don't have very many organizations they allow to reveal their FICOS (the myfico website included), and PSECU is one of the only ways to see it monthly for free. Unfortunately a couple years back they had tons of people trying to join solely for that reason, and closed all the loopholes for non Pennsy residents to join.

Yeah..Experian is one of the toughest.
Hey hematino...Any idea if DCU would do hard pull on credit?..if yes..which credit Bureau...I wish they don't hit Equifax..Most of my recent bank account openings and 2 credit cards had resulted multiple hits and everything on Equifax.
