Let it be known... yesterday, i successfully product changed my Capital One Platinum with no annual fee, to the 1.5% Quicksilver! IT IS POSSIBLE. All i did was ask... though, mind you, this was probably the 5th time i asked over the course of maybe a year.

Believe me, im just as stunned as everyone who is going to read my reply.

If you have any questions about my card useage, or any questions on what I may have done. I'll be happy to answer them.

Had my CO Platinum with no annual fee since October 2008 with a $500 credit limit. (Will have had the account for 5 years this coming October)

- Credit limit upped to $750 in 2010. Then upped to $1k in 2011.
- Card useage from 2008 to 2011 had been ~75% of the credit limits per month.
- 2011 to May of 2013, only used probably ~10% of the $1k limit.
- Starting May 2013 to now, been running ~80% of the $1k limit.

My EQ score, checked just a week ago, is 752.

Not sure if they did a hard or soft pull... i didnt ask... and they didnt state...

All my payments are on time and paid in full... no negatives whatsoever on any of my accounts.

They did keep me at a $1k limit though, hahahahahaha. I'll try for a credit limit increase later on :)

How i asked: I simply asked if my account qualified for an upgrade, and if it did, if I could be upgraded to the Quicksilver. thats it.
