Should i apply for capitol one again?

Postby neptunejcw » Wed Apr 10, 2013 12:38 pm

I settled my judgment from Capitol one & also my other Capitol account was paid. 1 has fallen off my report but the judgement remains but it is paid. Should I ask for there business again & if so what card should I apply for? Trans fico 659 & Equifax fico 657

I wouldn't bother with Crapital One. They'll pull all three (EX/EQ/TU) for one application.
My Limits:
NFCU NavCheck: $15,000/NFCU Platinum: $11,500/NFCU nRewards: $8,000
Chase Freedom: $6,500/Chase Slate: $6,000/CSP: $5,000/Marriott Rewards Primier: $5,000/United MileagePlus Explorer: $5,000/Southwest Primier: $3,000
Citi Hilton HHonors: $9,700/Citi Simplicity: $8,200/Citi Forward: $5,500
AMEX Blue Cash Everyday: $8,000/SPG AMEX: $5,000/AMEX Everyday: $5,000/AMEX Delta Skymiles Platinum: $3,400
Discover IT: $7,700
Barclay's NFL Extra Points (Carolina Panthers): $5,000
DCU Platinum: $3,000
RTN FCU CC: $2,000
CCCU Platinum Rewards Visa: $2,000

Current total limit: $129,500

If you have no better option you might as well do it. Your scores are kind of low to get anything decent and with a judgement and the low scores that means most of the prime lenders will shy away. MIght as well rebuild with them, that's what they are good for (and about all they are good for).

As far as the inquiries yeah all 3 sucks but in this situation, it won't really hurt a whole lot and after 6 months your score will likely be better with good use of the card.

I have a 5/3rd secured card with a $1000 limit on it. Ive had it for about 3 months also I got a 1st premier with a 400 limit which ive had for almost 2 years. I would like to get rid of the 1st premier but thats my longest line of credit on my report so I will hold on to it for about another 8-9 months. I have no inquires on my Eqiufax report, I live in Indiana I wouldnt mind finding somewhere that pulls them for & possibly get another card. Im not expecting a huge limit but just another line of credit

Discover pulls EQ. You might squeak by (barely) with an IT card I would be most concerned about the judgement even more than your score. You could app for IT (knowing the odds say denial) and then if that's denied (and if you get it expect a 500 limit 1000 absolute most) then app for Cap One.
