How to dispute/remove credit inquiries on my Experian report

Postby 3MDR » Mon Apr 08, 2013 8:25 am

On my Experian credit report, I currently see 1 hard inquiry but when I go into their dispute center (at, I see several more dating back to 2011. The page even says that hard inquiries will stay on my report for 2 years and can be seen by others but I can only see records up to 1 year old on my credit report.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? If I apply for new cards, will credit card companies see 1 hard inquiry or all records that I can see in the dispute center?

The ones listed under subtitle These Inquiries Might Affect Your Credit Score are the ones you need to worry about. If you just have one inquiry on Experian IMO it is not worth disputing unless it is fraudulent or unauthorized. You have to dispute via writing to the creditor and CRAs. Web won't work in my experience using Equifax online dispute
