What happens after I pay a collection agency?

Yep, you basically have to ask them to do it. It's entirely up to them (Cap One). That's your realistic option now.

You might argue well I paid it, it should just disappear. Doesn't work that way. You still had a judgement against you. Just like many years ago I had a 60 day late on an auto loan. I got a job and paid it up, but it sat on my credit for 7 years even though I paid it, because while I did pay it I was still late.

Very true. I want to find some example letters that I can send them. Goodwill I guess you can say....but hey got a question now. I just satisfied that judgement & I owe no money to Capitol One. Do you all think I should apply for a Capitol One card again & if you think so which one should I apply for?? My fico scores are 659 for transunion & Equifax. Don't know what Experian is but my plus score is 667..
