Postby FutureBillionaire » Mon Mar 25, 2013 6:02 pm

Are these cards considered debit or credit? Has anyone tried to use one of these to load Bluebird?

Smh. I should have known better. A forum in fatwallet made reference to using these cards to load a prepaid card. It must have been Serve and not Bluebird. I believe Serve let you load with a CC.

Yes you can load Serve with CC. However, starting March 15th they are charging a fee to do it.

You can always load a gift card into a square reader or similar products, but they charge 3% I believe. Have you been successful finding a gas station that will accept credit card for Vanilla? I find alot of 7-11 stores loaded with Vanilla and paypal and tempted to try it later this week with my Amex before the cap kicks in. They categorize the store nearby me as groceries.

I have found the reloads at some Shell stations. I tried to buy at one and they didn't let me. I stop in random stations now.

I tried to buy a money pak at Kroger, but they said cash only. I'm going to try a different one.

So far, CVS is the only place that lets me buy these cards without a hassle.

I don't have Bluebird so I could be wrong, but couldn't you just type in the gift card info and link it to your account like you would with a debit card? Then just transfer the amount of the gc and delete the link...?
