My new card arrived in an opened envelope

Postby Ikarus » Sat Mar 02, 2013 8:22 pm

Have you ever had a credit card arrive with the envelope opened or partially opened? Mine did this week.

Would you ask for a new card or simply activate the card and keep an eye on it?

By contrast, my Discover it card arrived in a sealed cardboard box and light blue Discover it packaging -- very classy. No way for your card to be compromised. Love it! It was so nice I felt like I should record an unboxing of the card for YouTube.

If you feel uneasy about that, just contact the creditor and tell them, and ask for a new number for security reasons. There should be no problem.

Definitely report the issue to the issuing creditor. Get a new #.
