My Fifth Third Bank secured credit card

Postby neptunejcw » Thu Feb 14, 2013 12:38 pm

I went & was approved for a Fifth Third secured credit card, I currently have a $1000 credit limit. Should I add more money in the next few months & if so how much should I top out at?

I'm really trying to get my score at a 730 so I can get me a new car by June. My Fico has me at a 643, is it possible to jump up that high in a such a short amount of time??. I also did a pledge of shares loan for $1500 to add another good line of credit onto my report. Anymore suggestions?

I think 53 means 5/3.

neptunejcw, It sounds like you're on the right track, just keep your utilization low and you should be fine. If you're looking for another secured card Bank of America has a decent one, but you may not need it since you already have the two credit lines.

Lol..No 5/3rd...But yea I wouldn't mind grabbing another secured card & waiting the year out with the two secured cards & then seeing if they go over to unsecured card. But I definitely will keep my utilization low. & hopefully my scores go up
