Do you have to use the debit card with the checking acct to take advantage of the 10+10? No.

10+10 examples:

1x purchase of $100 = 100 points + 10 points + 10% points (100x10%=10) = 120 points

5x bonus category purchase of $100 = 500 points + 10 points + 10% points (500x10%=50) = 560 points.

Using your 1x at $100 and 5x at $100...

The 1x @ $100 = 120 points or $1.20 cash back correct? (120 x .01)

The 5x @ $100 = 560 points or $5.60 cash back correct? (560 x .01)

I just want to make sure that I fully understand this.

Correct. If you value UR points at one cent each, for non-bonus purchases of over $11 you'll get more value from a 2% cash back card.

Unfortunately, the Chase 10+10 Exclusive Program is no longer available. As of Nov 11, 2012, the only benefit of having a chase checking account along with their freedom card is the 10% yearly additional points. They removed the 10 additional points per transactions. Only people that have the 10+10 are the ones who were grandfathered in.
