Freedom is better.

I, however, have both. Freedom matched with Sapphire Preferred is where it's at.
My Limits:

Why should they not be used for airfair? I heard thats one of the best ways to use them? I just think the only way I would benefit from the freedom would be from the gas categories and with the Forward I think you get 2 or 3 points per dollar so its not completely horrible.

Are you referring to this: Citi is really sneaky with point redemption so make sure you don't get ripped off by redeeming for either flights or $100 increment gift cards

I got confused by the wording, but it really means that you get ripped off if you redeem for things OTHER than flights/$100 gift cards (and also mortgage/student loan), so "don't get ripped off" and the way to do that is by "redeeming for either flights or $100 increment gift cards"

Yes thats what I was referring to. I only plan on using my points for one of my many planned flights in the future.
