Will credit card companies remove negative info?

Postby ecamp91 » Tue Oct 30, 2012 5:15 pm

Hello every one,

I'm new here and I have a few questions.

I am currently 21 and I have a credit card debt on my credit report that is really hurting me.

I got the card when I was 18 and the limit was $1700 (boy was I happy.) Got a job right after high school and was buying things on my cc. Long story short I was laid off and I loaned money from my cc and believed empty promises that were made to me by a family member. I regret it, I know stupid me.

I now am in the medical field and can afford to pay it off. But I was wondering how would the credit card company handle this situation.

Do credit card companies offer deletion of negative history for the debt owed?
Will they accept a settlement?

Honestly I just want the negative history gone and just rebuild my credit.
Any ideas or suggestions. Sorry for the long "story".

Credit card companies will not remove negative history even if they get paid. It take 7 years from the time it gets paid to be off of you credit report I believe. Only suggestion is to try for another credit card and use it wisely to rebuild credit.
