So, in a nutshell, I was sued for something unrelated to credit in any form, fought it, lost, and now it's on my credit report. I settled fairly quickly and have received a letter saying information will be sent to the court that the judgment was satisfied.
My FAKO scores dropped 30 points each. I'm bummed. I don't even want to look at my credit reports as I will be even more depressed. I was hoping to shoot for Delta Amex Gold or Platinum in the near future (the only other card I want) but now I know I don't stand the proverbial snowball's chance with them for probably quite a while--if ever.
My main concern is my other credit grantors pulling the random report and deciding to close my accounts or drastically reduce my credit lines on my cards and other lines. Surprisingly enough, Discover (after the fact) gave me a routine 10% increase AFTER the judgment was on my report. Go figure.
Thoughts? Any other disasters I might expect?
