Can adding an authorized user hurt my score?

Postby agp » Fri Aug 17, 2012 8:17 pm

Let's say A is the primary card holder and B is the authorized user:

If A's utilization is 50% and B's utilization is 1%, does that hurt A's as well as B's credit score?

Similarly, if A's utilization is 1% and B's utilization is 50%, does that hurt B's as well as A's credit score?

Not really the right question. A and b total util do not reflect on each other. However the shared card util is reflected on both a and b total util.

Only on the cards that are on both credit reports. Basically whatever is on your own credit report, whether as au or primary, is reflected on your credit score.
