However, I would recommend AMEX revolver for a couple of reasons. Because of AMEX backdating, your new AMEX revolver won't hurt your AAoA as much. Additionally, AMEX has one of most credit score friendly CLI policies. You can request SP based CLIs of up to 3X 61 days after opening first revolver and every 6 months after that. But I would wait till your new Chase reports before apping to AMEX.
Well, I don't plan on asking them for a CLI beyond $5k. They said the system is smart enough to review your credit and say yes or no without pulling the credit a 2nd time since I just got approved, and that's why I did it. I'll apply for the CSP down the line, and the simple reason is that I don't have $3k worth of stuff I need to buy to get the bonus, and I'm not going to buy stuff I don't need
Also, I don't plan to go crazy. I looked at the BCP or BCE cards because of the cash back on every day stuff, especially groceries. If I do apply, that'll probably be my last card for a year or more, and I'll probably wait till around Christmas.
Can Amex BCE/BCP points/cash back earned be mixed in with the points I earned off of my Gold Card? Or does it only give you cash back, and not point based rewards?
***EDIT: With AMEX Backdating, how far can I get them to back date it? Also, for my already existing Gold Card, will they back date that too?
