My utilization is now 6% which is an A score

Yes. When I was in school my rents put me on their discover 15k limit, and their Bank of America 30k limit cards. We shared the limits. I never used them though, I just cut them up and they were nice enough to keep me on the accounts dropping my utilization dramatically.

Honestly, she should be stable with so many years of credit history. She has no debt but she has a bad score however? Is she PIF and on time, keeping her utilization down, and being financially responsible? There's probably more to the story.

Could be like the other member here where the college loans kick in and blamo your debt to income ratio takes a nosedive. My credit score dropped like 80 points when my student loans kicked in.
