Yes, you'll likely get TU and Experian scores after the 6 month mark. I know my Equifax score didn't show up until about 7 months, but Discover didn't seem to care.
And I don't think that one hard pull will hurt you.

W- You're pretty lucky that you got some prime cards bro. I just want the regular version of the More card and eithger one of the student or the regular forward card.

T- My statement for this month cuts off on the 26th, and my account will be open on the 25th for 6 months. So when exactly should I apply? And I like you're plan and I will keep you guys updated about my progress, whether it is good or bad.

I have also heard on the forum that you can keep track of your score every month as long as you pay for it, but I don't know if that's true or not?

Have you filled this out on Discover just to see what it says? I never used it but I just came across it.....also it will not result in a hard pull or anything so you don't have to worry about that

Ya, it recommends either the more or the open road..lol. The funny thing is once every quarter i get a pre-approval for a citi aadvantage card and a Discover Open Road, but I am not really interested in the Open Road.

I also noticed, when I was filling out the Discover more (filling it, and not planning to submit right now) that it didn't ask for income, and it does not ask for education level either, but if you do put you are a college student they will ask you for what school and stuff. I just want the regular and not student. Also, I was wondering if you do not put your income or education level, are they just going to look at your credit report when you apply? seems strange to me IMO.

I'd give it a few days after the 25th, maybe the 29th or so. I don't know exactly how the TU scoring system works, but it's best to play it safe.
That is a little strange that the app didn't ask for income. I'm betting that they will call you up later and ask anyway. I know I had to complete my application over the phone since they didn't have enough info.

Also I have heard on the forum that there is a credit monitor where you can check your score or something of that nature. I'd rather watch it over it by viewing my scores once every month...but idk if it's true or not. And yeah I know it is kind of weird....but just trying filling out the more app without submitting it and see if it requires education level, it did ask but I didn't put anything and there was nowhere did I notice that they had a box for income....or maybe it's just my computer....

That didn't seem right to me so I went and checked and it's your computer, because it's on there after you choose employment status. But hopefully when you apply at the end of the month it will all work out for you! That sounds like a good time to apply to me also. Don't you want your current utilization on this upcoming statement to be less than 30% but preferably less than 10% because that's what will be reported at the time, raising your score slightly if you're used to having a higher utilization? That's the way I understand it anyways so someone correct me if I'm wrong on this

W- My utliization (other then the first month) has always been had at 0. I generally pay off my card monthly about 2 days before my statement cuts, and then use my card a few days after it is cleared. So far, it's worked well.

So here's my plan, if you guys think it needs correcting or think I need to wait a little bit longer to apply, I will take your advice.

Plan:
End of October-2012 (give or take the 28th or 29th) Citi Forward (either student version or non student version) and Discover more (I would prefer to have the regular version, because apparently for the Student version you would have to enrolled at a 4 year school, but I go to a community college so idk.) I have not been sent any pre-approval or anything in mailers.
December 2012- Green Amex. Keep in mind that I have already been denied on the 5th, should I try again in December or not? I would think after 13 months of having good history (if I keep doing good with my credit and If I am approved for the card) that I would be able to be moved up to Gold, but that will not be for a little while, but would it be a good idea to apply again in December, providing If I have already been rejected? And If I should, is there any tips that you guys can provide me with before giving it another try.
April-May- 2013- Chase Freedom. I've heard you need at least a year of history to be considered for the card considering if everything else is okay.

Also, where did you guys buy your fico score from? and is it a legitimate score that the banks and lenders use or is it a Fako?

I appreciate any feedback! Thanks for reading!

I like the idea of going for both the discover and citi at the end of the month, hopefully both but at least one will give you a card. I don't know anything about Amex requirements but I'm curious as to why you're wanting to pay the Amex annual fee's? Do you travel yearly or what, because I was trying to justify to myself applying for a Green or PRG next summer but I don't really travel at all at this young point in my life and through researching I feel the cards are only or mainly for travelers....maybe I'm wrong and if I am wrong on this I will apply for an Amex myself. It seems you've been kind of similar to me (age/income) so I was just curious what your reasons are for wanting an Amex charge card?
