So a local credit union or something like Cap One or a secured card are going to be your best bet to start. All of us had to do this, and none of us just went right to prime card approvals. But if you give it time and effort you will get there. Use the sting of the denial as motivation to build your history right and get the Freedom that you want!
As funny as it may sound, that's not true. My first credit card was an AMEX Platinum no preset limit card... still do not know up until today how I got it, but I did
Sicne then, AMEX knows that they did well with me because I charged on my Platinum over $46,000 last year alone.
